Electric hair removal

Electric hair removal or electrolysis hair removal is a permanent hair removal technique, very effective, especially on white hairs and on light hairs (blond or red).

Electrolysis is a chemical reaction which locally releases NA OH caustic soda during the passage of the electric current provided by the filament deposited at the bottom of the pilosebaceous follicle near the bulb. This small amount of soda will be toxic to the cells responsible for the reproduction of the hair.

Electrolysis, moreover, is the only permanent hair removal technique that can be carried out around the eyes, which allows permanent eyebrow shaping. In fact, due to the proximity of the retina, laser or pulsed light cannot be used.

Electrolysis (like the laser) is only effective on hairs in the growth or anagen phase and therefore several sessions are necessary to obtain the desired result. In fact, on the same area there are only 30% of the hairs in the anagen phase.
